Scarpetta: Photos of Italy

“Scarpetta”, a colloquial expression used by Italians to describe when you take a piece of bread and use it to scoop up the remaining sauce from your meal. You cannot let one ounce of sauce go to waste. I held on to this phrase to describe my experience in Italy. Enjoying and savoring every moment, down to the last drop.
